This dupatta is a valuable example of intricate ikat craft from Orissa woven skillfully by talented and hardworking ikat weavers. In the craft the yarn is dyed before weaving to create a bleeding look in the design. The marvellous skill of the creator is displayed in the meticulous placement of the yarns on the loom to create almost exact mtifs all through the fabric.
